논문 제목(영문) : On the development of the Korea government's next-generation financial information management system

요약 : Since 2007, Korea has established and operated the Digital Budget Accounting System (dBrain), which is an integrated financial information management system which enables on-line management of the entire process of government finance and real-time monitoring of the status of fiscal business. The system supports all fiscal activities and transactions of government finance, backs up government financial innovation, and produces government financial statistics and information analysis by linking national fiscal management planning, top-down budgeting, performance management, program budgeting, and accrual-based accounting. While the system is considered to have contributed greatly to the government’s financial innovation so far, the Korea government is preparing to take another leap forward in the era of digital transformation, which will lead to the launch of a next-generation data-driven budget accounting system (so called NeoBrain) in a couple of years. In this article, we compare government financial information systems in different countries, and discuss the basic directions, key priorities, and focus technologies of the Korea government’s NeoBrain system.
